Jerome Thomas injury blow for Vale
Port Vale’s influential winger Jerome Thomas could be missing for up to three weeks after being injured during the game with Charlton Athletic.
Thomas was replaced in the second-half and Vale now fear he will be out of action for two to three weeks.
Thomas has been highly praised since joining Vale in the summer. Last week, coach Andy Smith claimed he was the best winger in the league, so his absence will be keenly felt at the club.
Vale will also be without the suspended Anthony Grant for the game against Oldham while returning striker Anton Forrester may not be risked from the start after his recovery from injury.
