Ribeiro says winger needs time to adapt
Port Vale manager Bruno Ribeiro says that new signing Gezim Shalaj is “not ready” but will improve with training and reserve team football.
Shalaj confirmed that he had missed out on summer pre-season training but nevertheless he impressed after coming on as a sub against Bury.
He needs to improve but he is very strong for English football…
Ribeiro is convinced the winger will be an asset when fully fit telling the Sentinel: “He is good one-on-ones, he is strong, but he has just been training for two or three days with us.
“He needs to improve but he is very strong for English football. He is a good winger but he has just started training now. So, it is difficult. He is not ready but will have some training and we start reserve games now which are good for him to play in.”
