The FA – Port Vale paid £6,400 in agent fees
The FA have published details of recent “intermediary” (agent) fees paid by clubs from 1 October 2015 to 1 February 2016.
The Valiants come in twelfth position in the League One table. Not surprisingly Wigan top the table with £164,000 but Vale are also beaten by Burton Albion (often cited as an example of financial prudence) who spend £20,000.
The FA also lists all transfers for which clubs paid an agent and for the Valiants those players were Anthony Grant, Ben Purkiss, Remie Streete, Sam Foley and AJ Leitch-Smith. All these moves took place before October but as the FA notes payments may be for transfers conducted before that period.
