Major boost for Valiants as Inniss is declared fit to play
Port Vale have been handed a fitness boost ahead of their eagerly anticipated home game with Burton Albion.
On-loan defender Ryan Inniss was stretchered off the pitch but he has now been cleared to play for the Valiants.
They had done all the tests necessary and nothing overly concerned them, so it is very positive…
The Sentinel newspaper says that Inniss was coughing up blood on the pitch and was taken straight to hospital. However, he has now been cleared to play.
Manager Rob Page told the Sentinel: “He is raring to go! Obviously he is a little disturbed about what happened at the weekend and it shaken him up a little. But he is okay and recovering well. It is great news that he could be released from hospital on Saturday evening.
