Vale to discuss extending striker’s stay
Port Vale Chairman Norman Smurthwaite has told BBC Radio Stoke that the club are set to enter talks about striker Uche Ikpeazu.
The Valiants are keen to either extend the forward’s loan spell or even sign him on a permanent basis if Watford consider it.
Smurthwaite told BBC Radio Stoke: We will be shortly holding dialogue with the club to see whether they want to extend the loan, or maybe sign him as a player. That is something that we may consider depending on what the requirements of the club are financially.”
Ikpeazu, 21, has become a cult favourite at Vale Park with his powerful play and six goals so far this season. He is out of contract at the end of the season.
