Keeper keen to extend Vale stay
Goalkeeper Jak Alnwick says he would like to extend his current short-term Port Vale contract.
Alnwick was signed on a short-term deal at the start of the season as manager Rob Page sought cover for the injured Chris Neal. The former Newcastle United keeper has impressed as a key component of a frugal Vale backline.

Alnwick is only under contract until January but he says he is keen to extend his stay in Burslem.
Alnwick told the Sentinel: “At the minute I am just playing my football and will let the people above me take care of that. But if it came to me then I am definitely happy to stay for as long as they want me.
“It’s a great club and I am happy here so I don’t see why not.
