Commercial team hails “hugely successful” summer
Port Vale’s commercial team have sold out of match sponsorships and programme advertising and are well on the way to meeting internal targets.
Commercial manager Jordan Neville told OVF: “I’m really pleased and confident in saying that the commercial department has been hugely successful this summer.
Let’s just say, it hasn’t been a quiet summer. We want the fans to come back to Vale Park for the new season, see the difference and feel the positive atmosphere…
“All match sponsorships and programme pages are now sold out, advertising boards are at a high demand and it looks like we have covered all areas of the ground.”
Neville explained that the club has completely revamped its approach to commercial matters this season commenting that: “Raj and I decided that the priority this summer was simply to make a difference at the football club you love. As a team we went through that process in stages from box sales, match sponsorships, respect flags, right the way through to the development made in the Valiant Suite.
“Let’s just say, it hasn’t been a quiet summer. We want the fans to come back to Vale Park for the new season, see the difference and feel the positive atmosphere.”
The commercial team have introduced new initiatives such as the Business Alliance and Neville is delighted with its success adding that: “The Port Vale Business Alliance is our first new initiative and we are well on our way to the targets we set ourselves. We want to say a big thank you to Staffordshire University for sponsoring the Alliance and supporting what we’re doing for the community.”
Neville sees the new approach as achieving two goals commenting: “Our aim is not only to create revenue for the football club, but to work hard with businesses to see what we can give back to the community.”
