Port Vale have allowed promising youngster Nathan Smith to join Torquay United on loan.
Smith is yet to make a first-team appearance for the Vale but he signed a two-year deal in the summer and is highly rated after progressing through the youth ranks.
We see a lot of potential in him and he is certainly someone we’re excited about for the future…
The 19 year-old spent part of last season on loan with Stafford Rangers and the Valiants clearly see this move as a chance for Smith to gain more first-team experience.
Smith has agreed a three-month loan spell with the Devon club and manager Rob Page told the official Port Vale website: “This is a fantastic opportunity for Nathan to go out and develop and hone his skills in a competitive environment.
“We see a lot of potential in him and he is certainly someone we’re excited about for the future so this is a beneficial move for all parties involved.”
