Sentinel: Dean Glover could be handed ‘scouting role’
The Sentinel claims that Dean Glover will be given a scouting or youth coaching role within the club.
Glover helped out with the first-team last season after Micky Adams departed but he is not thought to remain in a similar role this season.
Rob Page is keen to have a dedicated scout after the club lost George Foster to Swansea City last summer and according to the Sentinel the club are considering Glover for the role. The paper says that an alternative move would be for Glover to return to a youth coaching role.
Glover is renowned as one of the club’s finest-ever defenders but his spell as manager in 2008-2009 was less impressive. The club won 12 out of 39 games with Glover in charge.
After a spell out of the game, Glover returned to the club in 2012.
Welshman Paul Bodin has been named as Rob Page’s new assistant with Michael Brown set to take on a player-coach role.
