David Lowe player profile:
Talented forward David Lowe enjoyed two successful loan spells with Port Vale.
Born in Liverpool, Lowe started his career with Wigan Athletic before an £80,000 move to Ipswich Town in 1987. His first loan spell with the Valiants came in March 1992 when he made nine appearances, scoring twice. Sadly, he was unable to prevent Vale getting relegated that season.
In 1992, Lowe moved from Ipswich to Leicester City for a fee of £250,000. He joined Vale on loan again in February 1994 and hit five goals in 19 games as he made up for the earlier relegation by helping the club to promotion.
He later joined Wigan for a second spell before finishing his career at Wrexham.
