Skipper: fans have every right to criticise
Vale skipper Carl Dickinson says he has no issue with criticism of himself or his teammates by Valiants supporters.
Dickinson enjoyed a good game against Walsall but he has also been criticised for some of his performances this season. He told the media: “I wouldn’t like to say it affects me. I just like to prove people wrong.
People work their backsides off all week and pay good money to come to watch you. If they don’t think you are doing well then they have every right to say so…
“It’s not nice when people are saying stuff, but it is one of those things. People work their backsides off all week and pay good money to come to watch you. If they don’t think you are doing well then they have every right to say so.”
Dickinson is expecting a tough battle on Saturday.
He added: “We will have to roll our sleeves up and do the dirty work first and also play some of the football we can play, then hopefully get a good result.”
