Adams frustrated after draw
Micky Adams says that the Valiants still need to improve after their tour of the West Country ended with a 1-1 draw against Tiverton Town.
Adams told the club’s official website: “Pre-season is all about learning and I think the goal we conceded was a mistake and I would like to think that in the course of a season that wouldn’t be repeated, because I would like to see that stuck into the stand.
“But what pre-season does, when it becomes a little bit easy you get into bad habits and you have got to get out of bad habits and that’s the first thing.

“Secondly, we have missed a hat full of chances like you wouldn’t believe and I think the goalkeeper has had a good day for them.
“He has had a bit of luck as well, but it could easily have been a handful of goals – we haven’t got them and we have drawn one-all.
“I thought Tiverton were excellent. I thought they worked as hard as they possibly could, they are a young and enthusiastic side and it was just the test that we needed.”
