Grimmer out, Robertson in?
Defender Chris Robertson is expected to return to the Vale’s defence for the crucial FA Cup replay against Plymouth Argyle.
Robertson missed the game against Brentford with a virus but is expected to recover.
Robertson could replace impressive loanee Jack Grimmer who is not eligible for the cup game. To be eligible to play in a replay, a player must be signed by the club in time for the original game but Grimmer was signed after the 2-2 draw with Plymouth at Vale Park took place.
However, youngster Joe Davis is eligible as his loan spell with Luton expired on January 4th – the day before the cup tie.
Davis is expected to pair up with Robertson in central defence as Liam Chilvers and Richard Duffy are both injured.
