Duo doubtful for MK Dons clash
Right-back Adam Yates and winger Rob Taylor are both injury doubts ahead of Port Vale’s game with MK Dons on Saturday.
We have Carl Dickinson who can play centre-half, Daniel Jones is available, and Richard Duffy can play right-back…
Yates is suffering with a back complaint while “supersub” Taylor has suffered a thigh injury.
Micky Adams has options at the back should the consistent Yates not make it – Liam Chilvers and Dan Jones are both pushing for recalls with Jones possibly the most likely to come into the team should Yates be ruled out.
Coach Mark Grew told the media: “We have players that can play in different positions.
“We have Carl Dickinson who can play centre-half, Daniel Jones is available, and Richard Duffy can play right-back.
“So, if people don’t make it for Saturday we have other people who can come in. That’s a nice situation to be in.
“We’d like everyone to be fit, but we know that during this period we are going to get slight knocks and we might have to make three or four changes over the Christmas period.”
