Adams happy with Port Vale squad
Manager Micky Adams has declared himself happy with the depth of Vale’s squad and he has no intentions of adding a loan signing at this time.
We are a close-knit group, spirit in the camp is tremendous – as good as I have seen it since I have been there – and we don’t need anybody to disrupt that…
Vale’s squad depth has been boosted by the performances of Richard Duffy and Jordan Hugill, both of which give the manager options in defence and attack respectively and the Valiants manager commented: “We have identified players that we would like to have brought into the football club.
“We have not managed to get them through the door but, added to the recent form of the team, it is not something that we have to rush out and do.
“We want to make sure that if we do bring the right person in it is for the right reasons and we have the right sort of character.
“We are a close-knit group, spirit in the camp is tremendous – as good as I have seen it since I have been there – and we don’t need anybody to disrupt that.
“There are players out there we could bring in tomorrow, but I am happy with what we have got and with what is waiting on the sidelines.
“There is no great reason to spend Norman’s money, which he will be pleased about.”
