Port Vale manager Micky Adams believes his chief scout George Foster could have unearthed “a gem” in striker Jordan Hugill.
He’s still raw and needs some polish, but the potential is certainly there….
Hugill scored hi first senior goal on Saturday after forcing his way into Vale’s first-team plans following a free-scoring spell at Gatehead.
Adams said: “I think we have unearthed a gem in Jordan. He’s still raw and needs some polish, but the potential is certainly there.
“He’s got the tools to become a really good player and I was very pleased with the way he took his goal. He never looked like missing.
“Overall it was a good performance. We were excellent in the first-half with the intensity and strength of our play.
“It was also an outstanding goal by Jennison. It takes some doing to score a goal like that.
