Rob Headlines paul wildes, statement

OVF has received the following press release from the Alchemy Investment Group ahead of tomorrow’s Port Vale press conference.

The statement reads as follows:

PAUL WILDES TO BE NAMED PORT VALE OWNER

To set the record straight we have no previous relationships with former employees, directors or shareholders at Port Vale, nor any other bidders

CEO and Founder of the Alchemy Investment Group, Paul Wildes will be named tomorrow by administrators, Begbies Traynor, as the preferred bidder for Port Vale.

Administrators have been seeking a buyer for the club since Lancashire businessman Keith Ryder failed to complete his £1.3m deal to take over at Vale Park during the summer.

Speaking ahead of the press conference which will take place on Tuesday 16th October at Vale Park, Wildes commented: “I would like to thank the supporters for their patience, commitment and loyalty as the club has completed this lengthy process.

“Alchemy Investment Group is an independent party, and to set the record straight we have no previous relationships with former employees, directors or shareholders at Port Vale, nor any other bidders.

“My passion is for competitive sport and my first priority is the supporters, who are the heart of this club. I want to pledge an ongoing commitment to keep supporters informed about decisions that affect their club. We plan to hold a fans forum over the next couple of weeks, and we look forward to hearing from supporters and discussing our plans with them.

“It is our intention to develop the club both on and off the field by improving the commercial side of the business and the match day experience. We also intend to develop the stadium and will be looking to make it a 7 day week venue.

“We are delighted to be on board and looking forward to the months and years ahead.”

Additional information and more detailed plans will be revealed at the press conference which will take place at 14.30 on Tuesday 16th October at Vale Park.

The Alchemy Investment Group is a UK-based private equity company that builds distinguished relationships with both clients and staff based on trust and professionalism.

Wildes further commented; “Alchemy Investment Group is a strong company with an enviable track record. We develop high quality, focused strategies based on integrity and impose leading edge financial controls to all our businesses.

“Our philosophy is to bring companies closer to the heart of the community and develop strong relationships within it. This lies at the heart of what we plan for Port Vale.”

The Alchemy Investment Group and its shareholders currently hold £50m worth of assets in hospitality, sport, construction, consultancy and education and have become one of the fastest growing horse racing owners in the UK.
