Telford sign-up Taylor
Blue Square Bet side AFC Telford have signed former Vale left-back Kris Taylor, who had been training with the Valiants.
Taylor has signed a one-year deal and Bucks boss Andy Sinton told the BBC: “Kris has been training with Port Vale during pre-season so he’s in great shape and he’ll be a quality player for us this season.”
Taylor played in Vale’s recent 3-1 friendly win over Stafford Rangers.
The 28 year-old joined Vale in July 2009, initially on trial until a £5,000 donation from the Vale Volunteers groups helped turn the move into a short-term deal. He subsequently signed a contract extension until the end of the 2009-2010 season.
Taylor stayed on for the following season, but was released in May 2011 after 64 starts, 11 sub appearances and 4 goals.
The left-sided player then joined former Vale player Marc Bridge-Wilkinson at Blue Square Bet Premier side Darlington only for the club to fold.
