    Notts County - trains

Planning a bit ahead for this one but it looks like there's engineering works that weekend so no direct trains between Stoke and Derby.

As far as I can see, options are:

    1. Stoke-Tamworth, then Tamworth-Nottingham

    2. Get to Blythe Bridge by replacement bus or other means, train from Blythe Bridge-Derby, then Derby-Nottingham.

Unless someone has a better idea.

Thanks for this Santa, every time we use the Derby line, Mansfield, Chesterfield, Notts County we always go from Blythe as it is cheaper by a long way.
A group ticket for 5 or 6 people works out about 8 quid to those sort of places.
We'll just do our usual, park at Blythe overnight. Collect car Sunday.

Yeah, it will be for me and you, probably a bit out of everyone else's way.

Sorry I missed this reply because the threads here don't show up on the front page.

    Actually, forget that.

Replacement buses between Stockport and Sheffield. Everywhere’s knackered that weekend. Making it hard for people to get to this game.
