All the stick we get off them. This is too good an opportunity to pass on. It's an annual tradition now for them to go out in the 3rd round to a club that we beat the previous week.

It's a fact that we progressed in a cup competion against Shrewsbury and Sjoke didn't. Given their glee at our demise over the last sixteen years then please, every Vale fan, enjoy rubbing their noses in their own excrement of a football team.

Yes, he did well at Luton. But that is a relatively big club for the level they have been playing at. Also after their time in non league any sort of success will have a bandwagon effect.

As has been mentioned in previous posts, he inherits some extremely well paid players who may not necessarily toe the line and remember Luton was his first real job.

If he gets immediate results he may have a chance, but continue their current form for any length of time and the Neanderthals will become restless very quickly.

A very risky appointment in my opinion.
Luton were on their way to the Championship whilst Stoke are on a crest of a slump. The Luton squad was full of his own players whilst the Stoke team is overrated and with moral in the doldrims. He was beloved at Luton whilst Stoke fans forced out their last manager because they were probably 7 or 8 points off where they should be.

Not the brightest guy in the world is he? No chance will he get Stoke back to the Premier League but can he get them to League One, that's the question.

Rudge had more sense when he turned them down, as he did Bradford City. Steady progress beats a gamble most of the time.

Was listening to Radio Sjoke last night and almost turned off at 70 mins as it was looking too easy. Kept listening as there seemed a bit of complacency setting in, glad I did. Great last 10 mins. Listened to P & G after , almost made me forget about our problems.

Just when it's all looking grim, along come the Stokies and make your day. Couldn't make it up. It's not all bad when Sjoke City are around to keep you in laughs.

Lardies spent the last 2 years blaming Hughes and then Rowett and one plonker phoned radio sjoke last night and blamed the players, seems they are going give this cheep lower league unproven (at this level)manager more time to get it right.

Just wish we were in decent shape so that I could relish in their misfortunes.
Reality is they will probably still be a championship club at the end of the season and we could well be a non league club
