The worst thing we can do is legitimize this farce by turning up.

IMO a couple of hundred vale fans in the paddock and 5-600 in Lorne Street is far more embarrassing than 10000 stokies spread around VP with no vale fans. A large number of stoke fans are only going in the hope of being able to take the ****, how will they do that if there's no-one to take the **** out of?

Take their money, publicise how much they've contributed to Smurf's wallet and boycott the Checkatrade; it's the only way Vale can save face.

I'm hoping this is simply a joke so poor it took me a few seconds to understand...

Looks as though there will be quite a few more than a few hundred. Spoke to few mates who are all now going. Never underestimate momentum.

As many have stated; the only way we save dignity is by treating the game as the farce it is.

Let them 'take over' an empty stadium, supporting their youth team. By turning up and actually making a game of it, you add fuel to their fire.

It's one I agreed with at the time as did plenty of other posters.

Incapable of making decisions yet he makes wrong decisions? That makes no sense.
    I don't understand how you're struggling.

Norm went on the radio and announced he was considering opening another stand (most logically the Railway).

This was something which should NEVER have been considered, and certainly not announced to the fans. If he really needed 'consultation' and couldn't realise it was farcical from the moment the concept entered his brain then he's more clueless than I thought.

The fact that, if it wasn't for fans backlash, Stoke fans would be inhabiting the Railway in a weeks time speaks volumes to me as to how far from reality this man inhabits.

How are people actually defending Norm considering giving the Railway to Stoke?

He's climbed down after a bit of stick but this whole sage smacks of his ineptitude. Being forced to backtrack from a clearly absurd idea is not a sign of 'well done Norm, seeing sense!', its more 'Christ Norm, why did that even cross your mind in the first instance?'. I'm sick of him receiving credit for sorting out his own balls ups (paying off the Bruno players, sacking Brown etc. They only existed because the bloke doesn't know what he's doing).

Regal loves his mate but to see 'Kev' pipe up with claims of objectivity when LITERALLY 48 hours ago Norm admitted he was seriously considering letting Stoke fans sit in the Railway is truly maddening.

    Jim sets fire to house.

Jim extinguishes fire, leaving damage but the structure still stands, barely.

"Well done Jim, you saw sense!" his friends shout, as they sit in the charred remains of his abode, ignoring the smoke-stained walls and lack of furniture.

    Port Vale: 2012-?
