Pulis Gone: who will replace him?

How about Noel Blake. Head of England youth set up, pro-license holder and one of Europe's top coach educators, ran Stoke's academy, lives in Newcastle under-lyme. Supported by Earl Barrett, Stoke under 16's coach, A license holder, bags of Premier League experience, lives in the area.

No. OK then. One of those managers that's been doing the rounds for 20 years then.

Have the FA already started to enforce quotas for applicants from minorities?

I hear Alex Ferguson is out of work.

Shame if Tiny is leaving though - I loved his 5-4-1/5-5-0 formations, hoof ball and his moany, self-pitying interviews. He single-handedly made Stoke one of the most loathed teams in England. Thanks for all the laughs Tony.

let it be gannon pllllllleeeeeeeeeeeezzzzzzzz:D

on a serious note tiny has done a decent job but hit the wall, whoever goes there has a big job on to take them to the other level big change in personel to alter the playing style and outlook of the team

This "next level" is a misnomer. Every team has a glass ceiling and they can't get any higher. Stoke are as high as they are feasibly able to go without massive owner investment, which has been banned thanks to the clubs voting in Financial Fair Play measures.

Pulis being sacked is the 2nd of the few small steps to us meeting again. The first obviously being us getting promotion.

Anyone going into that job and expecting to get them playing football is in for a massive shock! The Pulis hoof ball is running all the way through the set up of the club, from the youngsters to the scouts.

Personally, I think this is a mistake and Stoke fans will soon realise that they maybe should have been careful of what they wished for. That club can go no further than where Pulis got them. He had a style that would keep them there.

I agree that it will be a difficult job for anyone going in there, so perhaps they should go for another defensive manager like McLeish. I don`t agree that it is a mistake though as there is only so long you can watch that dross and he has spent an absolute fortune with little prospect of a return on most players.
