Apart from Pope and Yates along with Wikinson and Shotton at Stoke then players have no real affinity with Vale

Again, the first 2 you just mentioned can come hand in hand with football. I believe Vincent was lucky to have been offered a contract with all the injuries he's had.

I see Marvin Morgan has left Shrewsbury. Not prolific, but always a handful (in a footballing sense).

 

I think we should stear clear of this type of player. If he couldn't hack it with Shrewsbury at this level what makes you think that he can do a job for us. I would also make the same comment in relation to Griffiths but I have a horrible feeling that Adams may take him back.

Akpo Sodje couldn't apparently cut it at Darlington, we took him and the rest is history. Remember Constantine too?

 

It all depends on playing style of the manager and the job they've been asked to do. Morgan might of been deployed on the wing or been playing upfront by himself for all we know. Vincent was never in the goals for Colchester but scored a bagful for us. There are so many variables involved that it's not as simple as looking at stats in the newspaper.

Marvin's OK. All legs and bundling the ball along but somehow keeps control, scored some nice goals for Shrews.
