Aldershot enter administration

Just read on bbc news the Shots have entered admin after being relegated. Feel sorry for them in a way knowing what it's like. Hope they can turn it round soon...

That is sad news. I heard that they hadn't paid their wages which is always a bad sign. I hope they can sort it out.

Yep, very sad news for Aldershot. Maybe great news for Stockport? They may get a reprieve as i don't think the BSP except clubs in admin?

the blue square doesn't accept clubs with points deductions so it's probably the ryman southern league for them, sad but used money they hadn't got to avoid relegation and it's all gone pear shaped. there but for the grace etc.

I learned from it (and was critical of V2001 over 7 years ago) but those running the club and a lot of others learned nothing.

Of course its a sad day for the genuine supporters and we hope that they find a decent solution. But never take anything for granted and be careful who you trust.

Good luck to them and their fans. Another club about to cease. Annoys you when you see the Prem and Champ Clubs getting all the money. They need to start passing more down to Div 1 and 2 clubs to help them bring on local players.

it's reported that aldershot are £1,000.000 in the red, that is a lot of wedge for a small club, they are in a very bad situation, feel for them.

I never wanted them in the first place. 10 years ago I told people they wouldn't do a good job. But instead of listening to me because I was only 20 and made a few grammer mistakes and they were picked out on aswell, I just got slated by the same people who arranged the protests. But I was pleased when they finally saw light. Hopefully we now have fantastic owners and are only looking to build up and create a great club again. The feeling I have had now feels like 20 years ago with vale. To me Port Vale are back but, I am sure we can come back stronger over the years now. Maybe eventually a stronger club than we have ever been. Fingers crossed but we are all happy. For aldershot. Would be a shame, when I was on my way back to wolverhampton on the train after the aldershot game I spoke to a aldershot fan on his way coventry and he was down to earth. But he was telling me about 1992 and how bad it was for them. Lets hope they can find someone who wants look after a historic name like that. They maybe reformed but they are very much aldershot and lets hope they are saved this time.

I think they would promote a club rather than save a relegated one not sure how it works.
