Yes you are right!!

 

I also got laughed at at the start when I posted my judgement of our promotion chances after watching the local friendlies, and I said we had a really good chance of going up, and some wrote, we will get mid table at best...

 

So today I will eat my humble pie and become a football better expert :)

People had too low expectations, with the likes of 'escaping relegation will be a success' as the choice was either new owners or non existence (which I thought unlikely). My opinion was if we stayed in touch until new owners came in, then a shot at the play offs should be expected. So an excellent achievement to get automatic, but also not the time to rub it in to those who perhaps feared the worst.

well next sunday i will be eating best of british after collecting my 125 squid.thank you very much betfred!

and also thank you to my gf for reminding me of the 25-1 promotion bet that i had!thought i had only bet on us winning the league!:doh:

its not a question of rubbing it in, that was never my intention, however having faith in the players and manager at that difficult time was a must, unfortunately not everyone did.

i hope you guys are eating a nice big slice of humble pie!

 

TBH you can't blame them given the circumstances at the time. We were in administration and still with a great deal of uncertainty as to the future. The Ryder deal blew up eventually but at least he did give Micky the chance to get a few players in. However even they had history's mainly injury prone and consistency issues. Our top scorer over the last few years left and most people were asking the question of where goals were going to come from. Bookies had us at 40/1 for the championship and bookies generally are successful because they get the odds right. In the end we are I believe the first team that was in administration during the season to gain promotion. A very outstanding achievement.

enjoying the winnings and heres how there going to be spent,

 

1 Season Ticket,

2 Same Bets next Year :)

3 A few cheeky notes for the misis as I've hardly seen her or the kids the last 8 weeks,

4 Super Vale Away Next Year League One Baby.

 

TBH I put £30 on us making the playoffs at 33's on Monday to calm the nerves.
