..... Please let me be vilified on Tuesday night at 9:40 for starting this thread, but what can we do about making sure we beat Aldershot on Tuesday? Burton came and played an open expansive game which suited our counteracting style. Aldershot will park the proverbial bus. There won't be as big a crowd and the hype from Smurf and presentation of 1993 team can't happen again with the same effect. Will there be the cardboard fan shaped extra loud clappy things that helped make such a racket?

Anyway, the team have got to match the intensity and the crowd too.

I don't think we can do it...... abuse please on Tuesday night, the humble pie will be in the oven as I come back from the game.

Don't think aldershot will park the bus to be honest, they are in need of wins and draws aren't no good for them.

Aldershot are scrapping for their lives and need a win. A draw will be no good for them.

 

I don't expect another 7 goals, but I do expect a professional victory.

I think we probably have to accept that Tuesday's atmosphere will be a real let down after yesterday. It'll certainly be another test to the mentality of the players.

MA will do his part, it is up to the team and the crowd to do their parts. All games are different, if we knew what was going to happen there would be no point. But if you cannot be optimistic, when will you ever?

If I was their manager, I'd be saying let's see if we can drag them down to our level then beat them with experience. The only way we'll get anything out of this game is to keep it ultra tight and hope to fluke a goal.

Vale's first last night - Burton were having as much if not more of opening exchanges, attack breaks down and the speed and precision of our counter attack was awesome. I'd be saying, look lads whatever you do, don't let that happen. After the first goal, Burton had to start playing about ten yards further back.

MA will do his part, it is up to the team and the crowd to do their parts. All games are different, if we knew what was going to happen there would be no point. But if you cannot be optimistic, when will you ever?

we can still make plenty of noise if we only get 5000, burton fans didnt make any noise even leading up to kick off but the vale crowd was bouncing at 7.30 when i got in

I think the victory over Burton will give a massive boost to the players and most supporters. It should also have helped to reduce anxiety amongst almost everyone. All the games will be tense, but isn't this 100% better than being in a mid table position with nothing too play for.

I detect a different Vale side now, we are together they are playing as a unit, tremendous performances alround last night, even with fringe players like Willo, Dodsy and Shuker we have gamechangers, I have doubted the Vale in recent weeks no more, we will beat Aldershot and go on for promotion.

Alsershot are bottom of the league, they cannot afford to park the bus- they have to try to attack.
