Can't see them going down. If one side needed to catch up four points on them then yes. But there are about five, and at the end of the table, teams don't pick up enough points to make it happen. Probably wont need 40 points to survive.

Recent form suggests otherwise. If Stoke lose to Villa on saturday then I think they will be down, a draw isnt much better either. If they win there up but I cant see them winning. Sunderland have a new manager and I expect them to still even with there games to finish above Stoke, if they dont go down they will have survived by 1 or 2 points.

Wigan win their game in hand they are one point off Stoke, villa beat them saturday similar. 1 win in three months and no goals suggests they are very much in a battle. I personally think they will go down.

They wont go down. Only one slot left and too many teams have to start winning to avoid it. With a bit of luck di Canio will claim his rightful place in the relegation frame.

 

Might be worth just backing Villa to beat Stoke though as a one-off bet.

Villa can`t defend high balls, see the Bradford games for evidence. This game will save Stoke`s bacon for this season despite them currently being the worst side in the prem. Hope I`m wrong I would love to see TP relegated, so that his horrible anti football style is discredited .

Who gives a **** about them. They're having a terrible time at the moment coming to terms with the fact that they're at the peak of their powers and still they find it hard to enjoy. They're taking less away from home than we are, they're getting less press coverage than we are, and they're the most laughed at club in the land.

 

When they eventually drop back to their level, nobody will notice. Everyone forgot they existed about two years ago.
