I've said it on the match thread. Ainsworth deservedly gets applause when he plays against Vale. He was at Vale for 12 months. Rico, was at Vale for 5 years, scored 100 goals, turned down chances to leave and gets a bucket load of abuse. Of those who booed him, who would turn down a double your salary offer to secure you and your families future?

 

I know that I wouldn't turn it down. Unfortunately some people don't have enough class to show the slightest respect to a man who was a good player for us, and showed the club more loyalty than most players do these days.
