I agree with the likes of Cheeky, I thought the abuse Marc Richards got today was totally unjustified. He gave us 5 years of loyal service and was our most consistent player for a long period of time. I guess football fans have short memories! I didn't hear anyone booing Griffith and he left under the same circumstances.

 

Besides this the fans were magnificent today. It felt really special to be there today! I was a bit too young to understand our promotion in 1994, so Im loving every moment this time around. I don't think its doing my blood pressure much good though!

I don't boo any ex players. Rico did today for Chesterfield what he did for us for 5 years, scored, dived, drew fouls etc etc. I was just making the point that to compare Richards departure (or Griffs) for that matter to Ainsworths is unrealistic. And as Hagrid said,why should Rico be be exempt from the treatment most ex-players face week in week out at football clubs in every league.

Just out of interest, can someone explain how I managed to miss 25 of Rico's goals for Vale??
