Sounds easy when you say it quick. Aldershot alone will be difficult, partly because if we do beat Burton (and I think we will) then everyone will expect an easy walkover against the Shots, and somehow it rarely happens like that. We will get there though, it's good to be able to discuss the mechanics of how. But there are sure to be some twists and turns left on this road.

Let me put it another way. If we win three more games between now and the end of the season, we will be on 80 points with a far superior goal difference.

If one of the three wins was against Burton or Northampton we would be up anyway!

Not quite but it would require absolutely little or no margin of error by the other sides in their remaining fixtures to overhaul us.

In terms of their away form, the most difficult of our three home games is Aldershot.

Draw against Burton, beat Aldershot would keep us going nicely. Teams are running out of games to catch us.

 

If we happen to win both of these games we are all but up. If results go our way it could be that we need a win at Rochdale to confirm it.

Rotherham won't reach 79, thats 5 wins in the last 6 matches. They've only got one point in the last 3 games. Anyway I've read enough of this 'if so an so beat so and so but lose to whats it.' I'll accept what I see in the league table at the moment and move on to the next match.

 

Rotherham did win the game before last, and are capable of winning most of their last 6 games. I think it is good news for us that they lost at Gillingham, makes life much easier. No need to get so disturbed about lots of us having some harmless specualtion, its the right time of the season for it and part of the fun.

I notice that Dagenham are getting dragged down a bit at the other end - and their last 2 games are against.... york and Aldershot !

Someone said it on here in an earlier post, but 3 wins should do it. The important thing is that we don't lose against Burton and Northampton.

Most of our rivals including us are playing other teams striving for promotion or fighting to avoid relegation. I still think it could go down to the wire so i have invested in a few extra pairs of underpants to see me through the remaining games.
