Random thread, but i'm fed up of this guy. Bitter ex employee and we don't need it.

 

Fed up of hearing his anti vale / Adams /any player you didn't have a hand in Vale sigining. You got sacked and you were a traitor in scouting against us with Crewe. Only you could try and dress down the 3 points today

not at all. I despise the sometimes unneeded negativity on this website and i'm loving every bit of this season. For this reason I don't appreciate him pursuing a vendetta against the Manager and players he didn't have a hand in signing.

I'm glad someone else has noticed it. He comes over like he hates Adams and loves anyone he signed.

In fairness, he was actually a bit better today fior a while and actually spoke of 'we' (meaning Vale) - first time I have heard him do that. But that was after the first goal and in the period when the Robins were under the cosh after about 30 mins played. As soon as they equalised he was gushing about how you have to give them credit, how wonderful their half time changes had worked etc etc - Ive just read a thread by one of their own fans on Cheltenham's this is Glouceste site that admits the equaliser was (to quote) 'undeserved' and the 2nd Chelts goal was poor.

Every other local radio station has commentators that are squarely on the side of their local club, why cant we ?

I've posted before that I enjoy Ray's co-commentary, particularly about the commings and goings at vale Park Today I thought he was a little negative at times but he really got caught up in the emotion of the game as we all did, at the end he was very positive about Popey and other players.

 

IMHO, the very last thing we want is a yes man who says everything is fine and dandy when they're not.

To be fair to Ray, he's Vale through and through and his so- called negativity could well be an attempt to play down his enthusiasm.

I don't normally slag off Vale players past or present, but on P+G yesterday he was down about everything Vale.. ''Poor in defence, papering over cracks, only 2 or 3 players are good enough IF we go up !! 2nd in the league with 6 games to go Ray, give them some credit please !

Funny isn't it how opinions differ, I thought Williams hit the nail on the head especially his worry that opposing teams have worked out how to play us at home,and as for the next division it will have to be a virtual new team, I dont agree with Williams when he goes on about "His" players he obviously loves Yates but in saying that I can understand why he does'nt get on with Adams.

why will we need virtually a new team? Did we not beat Tranmere, Walsall, and give Sheff Utd a very good game or something? Crewe added nobody to their side that finished 7th in the league last year and also lost their star player to Man United. They sit comfortably in mid-table in league 1. A couple of new centre halves and a winger and we would do well in the league above.

 

Mr Williams needs only to look at the league table and ask himself again if teams really have worked us out and find us so easy to play against

The guy seems to love trying to have sly digs at Vale and it is really annoying when you hear it happening. Mick C is a million miles ahead of Ray in the media coverage world. Mick says it as it is, however he doesnt have sly jibes at the club and the manager.

 

I cant work out if its because his choose ideal owner didnt take over or if its more him and MA who dont see eye to eye? He doesnt ever come over as overly positive about either really.

I heard a bit of him on the radio yesterday.

 

The overall tone came over as being harsh or a glass half-empty but the individual points themselves were fair comment I thought.

Williams is an **** who is only interested in his own ego. Was very pro V2001 and part of the football committee, and then when he saw a job with Mo he became very anti V2001. I remember him being very pro adams and demanding that any new owner work alongside him, and now he has fallen out with adams he is very anti adams. Listening to him on the radio is hard work, and cullerton is a million times better. Williams genuinely makes me want to turn off. Its all about him.
