You wouldn't play Johnson ahead of Neal, or Lloyd ahead of Myrie or Vincent. Davis probably needs another season to develop and Morsy has had quite a few games, but another chance for some to knock Adams i suppose.

 

I'm not suggesting that they should be permanently in the team but Adams appears to prefer to bring in loan signings to cover for injuries rather than giving them a chance. It seems to contradict his insistence that he has faith in his squad. It also must be demoralising for the players concerned.

Kingsley James? Adams seems to be giving him a chance, loaning him out to gain experience but recalling him now we might need him. Give the Adams bashing a rest, he is a good manager. Most of the kids mentioned are not mentally tough enough yet for regular first team games.

Playing the kids out of necessity when they're not good enough is a recipe for disaster. Bringing kids along gradually to give them game time alongside experienced pros is totally different. For me, one of the best performances by a Vale defender this season was by Joe Davis at Southend. He was dropped for the next game!

If i was davis i would of gone to crewe last summer when the chance was there to play in a higher league.i certainly wouldnt of stayed at a league two side in the hope that someday i might get a game.

its not a case of having a go at anyone, its looking to the future.like has been said, there is nothing wrong with putting them on 4 the last 10 mins
