Giving opportunities to young players is not one of Adams' strengths. For all the promise shown by Lloyd, Davies, Johnson and maybe even Morsy, I suspect that they will be off loaded sooner or later. The development of young players takes a lot of patience and It seems that Adams prefers to take players 'of the shelf'. Is he the right man to nurture Wildes' vision of developing young players for the future. I doubt it.

You wouldn't play Johnson ahead of Neal, or Lloyd ahead of Myrie or Vincent. Davis probably needs another season to develop and Morsy has had quite a few games, but another chance for some to knock Adams i suppose.

Spot on Coskickabo.Adams is lazy manager IMO.Quite happy to bring in experienced journeymen and not encouraging young players to shine.I said it earlier in the season ,if I was Joe Davis and I couldn't get in this present team I wouldn't be waiting for MTM to ship me out I'd have been off like a shot.Someone would have taken him on,of that i'm certain.Adams brings in Purse,who I admit had a few good games to start with then starts to **** up big style and now by all accounts is also not flavour of the month ( of course I forgot he's injured:rolleyes:).Joe has made one mistake this season and gets discarded like a piece of **** until we get that desperate he has to play.Count the mistakes the other 'defenders' have made and it makes Joe look like different class.Adams treatment of Morsy has been nothing short of disgraceful.I can't comment on Lloyd as I can't say I've seen more than about 20mins this season.Having said that is he that poor that he couldn't have been given the odd game when Vincent was going through a bad spell?. Big Sam will make a top keeper,no problems with Chris Neal though.If we clinch promotion before the last couple of games I would like the big lad to be given a game.Unless Micky changes, dramatically, his way of thinking a bit more of the same will be on the way.Experience btw costs money.

Joe Davis will be good enough he needs games. Like a lot of young players he aint having a chance. OK so it is difficult but they could have the last 20 mins or so, Crewe seem to find a place for them. We have had a good season, just a pity over the last 2 years the young uns have not had a chance.

Of course we'd have taken second place with 7 games to go.The point I was making is Micky allows one mistake from the kids but numerous from the more experienced and shouldn't be making players.What confidence does that give younger players.They walk on the pitch probably bricking it in case they mess up.The older ones probably think 'it's just one of those things' if they mess up knowing full well their position in the team is not at risk.How many of the present team ,defenders wise ,could impress at League 1 level.I suggest that any half decent centre forward at that level must be rubbing their hands looking at our current centre halves.At the moment the jury is still out whether the experience that has recently been brought in will get us out of this worst ever League 2.At the moment it's 50/50 IMO.I don't know everything that goes on behind the scenes but I wouldn't be putting Micky forward as a Henry Kissinger replacement.Argument in an empty room springs to mind.I'm happy the way things have gone with the new owners who have basically spelt it out they want to concentrate on youth aswell as the first team.I'm just not sure Micky can deliver on both.
