Burge suspended

Playing devils advocate, why should he apologise if he KNOWS beyond any doubt he has done nothing wrong ?

Not really a valid argument considering a) the evidence of his outbursts on twitter are there to see and b) he didnt turn up at the time he was supposed to.

Therefore to me he has done quite a bit wrong, makes me laugh when people always defend the players ad use it as a weapon to further enhance there slating of the manager, EVERYTHING is the gaffers fault right?

As I said on the other thread, it seems like he might already have something lined up for next season at a higher level.

The only losers will be the paying punters.

We need a dressing room enforcer.

Burge is one of my favourites, but nobody is coming out of all this with any credit.

I feel sorry for Wildes, because he has to either back MA or sack him.

He may think he's done nothing wrong but he has been a twit on Twitter and breached the club's media policy. What he wrote on Twitter caused mayhem on here the other night - he was crazy to do it.

He hasn't been suspended because he broke the club's media policy, he's been suspended because he refused to apologise.......on Twitter! If they felt he had done wrong they should have suspended him immediately not when he didn't apologise.

If nothing else he signed an agreement and then broke it. I know footballers have a reputation for being thick, but how could he not KNOW that was wrong?

He has the privilege of being paid to play football for Port Vale. If he can't be arsed to turn up when he's supposed to or even apologise for his mistakes what alternatives do the club have?

So are you saying the club shouldn't have given him a chance to put things right? That would have gone down really well"

I agree about all the discipline heading his way. He's been a very silly little boy but there are other ways to discipline (fine like I mentioned earlier) but if he is to be the difference between winning (and consequently promotion) and losing then I think the club is bigger than the issue.

Yes it should be you are 100% correct. We already have other people out of the squad so we then suspend someone else. Why not just give him a bigger fine and some extra training etc.Is suspending him when there are already injuries detrimental for the squad. At the end of the day it's the managers call and he has to live by that.We best hope that we dont lose tomorrow no doubt it will be the fans fault.

He genuinely believes that he has done nothing wrong EXCEPT post his feelings on Twitter. What I'm saying is he hasn't been suspended for his outburst on twitter, he has been suspended for not apologising on twitter.
