Micky is doing a fantastic job. A big two fingers up at those who belittle him and his decisions at any given chance. Where are those posters who at the start of the season were still bleating on about the director fiasco and the Sheff Utd departure? Gone very quiet strangely.....

Im not being critical, just a simple statement of fact.... isnt he doing what he gets paid for?... if he wasnt he wouldnt last long... like sheffield perhaps?

Can't you reply objectively without blaming America? Pitiful!

I think you might find that this sort of stuff did originate from America and has crept into this country via Sky. The only stats that count is the League table. You should save your pity for the 50% of Americans who are obese:rolleyes:

Completely right, it makes a bit of a nonsense having managers in there who have only managed 3 or 6 or 7 games. The BBC come up with a good idea but make it over-simplified as they think that all of their audience is a bit dumb. If they had weighted it for money to spend, and maybe a couple of other factors, this could have been much more interesting.

Completely agree. They could create a coefficient points system based on how much your wage bill is against your opposition, then do a calculation to see how much that's worth. Phil Parkinson might well have come out on top based on that. Points per game per manager is pointless. Should United winning at home to Stoke be worth as much as Morecambe winning away at Rotherham?

The only thing that interested me is Dean Saunders. Nearly 2 points a game at Doncaster, then 0.5 a game at Wolves. I think he might have made the wrong decision to jump ship there.

Probably still here and probably delighted with how well we are doing. Could say the same about those who would have released Pope and Burge at the end of last season I guess...?

Don't remember slating Burge last season but you could say the same yes! Pope, however, I don't think one person on here had the foresight to see the way this season has gone for Tom. Good job Micky did eh?

The issue with burge for people wasn't his ability, but at one point it seemed his injuries would not go away. At one point it was announced his injury had returned and then suddenly he was in the squad. Luckily for us he has not only been pretty much injury free for a while now, but is looking excellent. Murphy had a similar problem this year, though it turned out differently for him.

I'll second that Deano. Moaning OS always supported the Pope. The best target man for years....goals or no goals. Think back to the early days of last season no Rico but Vale with Tom up top scored goals for fun.
