Does Burslem warrant or deserve a F.C?

Just out of interest, how many people on here who live more than 50 miles from Vale Park and who don't currently have a season ticket, would buy one if they were say £50 cheaper?

Im buying one next season whatever the price. Feel good factor and winning football. A club with ambition. Going places. More than likely in league one.

All factors as to why il get one.

I think a 10 game ST for £150 would be a great idea for those having to commute large distances. I am based in Germany and i will have attended approx 8 games this season which i don't think is that bad. On the whole the club is moving forward, well done Smurf and Wildes.

We just need to charge whatever it takes to make enough profit o sign decent players and take us up the football league. Pricing is little to do with our attendances. I drive from wolves every game and don't mind the 20 pound price. We do need o take a lea out of a nigh at dogs or other sports and have a package price for a pint a pie a drink a programme etc etc. a pie a burger a coffee cost little to buy in bulk by the vale but we put a big mark up on all of them. A programme a pint a pie and admission 22 pound.

As previously stated 20 quid a game is stupid for this level 10 quid would be better. Over time at 10 quid a gate 10000 is doable. Also makes me think . If we get promoted what's the pitch invasion last home game attendance going to be ? What u all think ?

The attendance for the pitch invasion would be 6000 trust me it would not be 10000 if it were free to get in. No club can sustain a tenner admission. It's simple maths tenner a game gets you 6000 in but leaves you not enough cash to buy decent players. You then perform badly and 3000 turn up at a tenner. You then do worse and so it's a downward spiral end of.

When I saw this thread I thought that owd Spunkers would explode at yet another attandance thread;)

You're right though. Too many people are getting carried away by a few of our 10,000 gates during our Division One/Championship days against the likes of Man City, Wolves, Stoke, W.B.A and Brum. This was only because all those teams regularly brought 3,000-4,000 to Vale Park, which is unheard of at League Two level.

Most we have had in recent times is the 1,300 or so which Crewe and Shrewsbury have brought. Todays attendance was higher than our average attendance for the majority of our seasons when we were last in League One 4-5 seasons ago.

PVTony, please check the statistics. You'll find that our overall average attendance so far this season is higher than 11 League ONE clubs. So yes, Burslem does deserve an F.C.

Statistics, you can use them to prove whatever agenda you may have.Higher than 11 League ONE clubs but lower than 6 League Two clubs.

Imo the best way to get in NEW supporters,ie peoplewho would'nt even think of coming to vp, is to give out free tickets at local primary schools, then either a mother or father, or both would need to bring them and a small percentage would return for the next match.
