It would be good to play the game - you are right - but the forecast is not good and I guess it's touch and go if the temperature is close to freezing all week during daylight hours.

Snow on friday aswell, just a thought wot about one of those blow heaters??

If I remember rightly last season the games were off because of the access to the ground being frozen rather than the pitch itself. I don't think we can do much about the pavements in Burslem and would need a lot of grit to make sure the paths leading to the stands were not iced over.

yea was down to health and safety due to postponements, as surfaces we're way to slippy, and it will probably be the same again unless the club has grit available

I would guess that the club will be doing everything possible to make sure it goes ahead. The alternative is a Tuesday night with probably 2000 less in attendance and commensurate loss of revenue
