Trawling through Transfer Rumour websites to see if i could find anything out about our "big" signing and came across this:-

 

"Port Vale star Ryan Burge did not feature yesterday, and while assistant manager Mark Grew said he was being rested as he was tired, Burge has played his last game for the club as talks are progressing between numerous championship and premier league outfits. a deal will certainly be done."

 

I thought it was surprising that he was left out on Saturday TBH.

I agree a great midfield with experience and yourger class to see us over the line. Burge wont go anywhere, micky said there is no need to sell anyone and only the players who are not featuring at the moment could be on their way! Burger is staying at VALE!;):D

Burge has to stay as he is a man for the future. He was injured most of last season and he is still learning his trade.

I don't think anyone will leave. Or at least, none of the regulars.

The likes of Owen and Andrew might go, as with McAllister, but no-one else.

Smurf and Wildes have said before that there is no need to sell at the moment and I get the impression that they are both astute enough to realise that if you sell your better players it might cost us promotion.

You need your assets on the pitch.

 

I'm surprised no-one has mentioned M-W being watched. He is another one with all the attributes to play at a higher level, but I'm sure he's going nowhere like the rest.

I'd definitely agree. Or you could perm (no pun intended! :D) any three from four of Loft, Burge, Birchall and Morsy. The future looks rosy, let's hope we look after the present and get out of this bear pit they call L2.
