Is anyone as old as me and can remember our one nil win against the real dons in the 80s thought about it because there was 2 inches of snow and an orange ball can not remember who scored but would never have been played today does any one else have memories of bad weather football ?

Makes you wonder if the pitch was worse today than second half v sjoke city in the f a cup

in 1967 i was nine years old and went the vale with some other young boys for a game against rochdale, hadn,t made my mind up if i was going be a vale fan or stoke but this game made my mind up vale romped to a 5-0 victory, every attack seemed to end with a goal.my brother who was eight wasnt convinced though and went on to be a life long stoke fan

Ay up fellow olduns.....my memory seeing the Vale play in the snow at VP was over the Xmas period in , now this is where time plays tricks, was either 79 or 80 when the only player who could stand up in the driving snow was the one and only Bernie Wright , think we played Huddersfield .How this match wasnt abandoned I still wonder to this day......anyone remember it ????

I remember it, Monday night, Roddy Georgeson scored, your right it seemed as though every attack brought a goal,if it snowed like that now the City would have ground to a halt for days !
