Radio Stoke break the bidders privacy

Radio Stoke have reported that they believe he is the preferred bidder.

BBC usually have to corroborate news stories from at least two sources:

1. There is a rumour that is in the public domain. Whether they got it from reading OVF or not, they probably heard it from the same source that told the person who posted it here.

2. The Companies House info in the public domain shows that Paul Wildes changed the name of one of his companies to PVFC Ltd last week. That's probably good enough for Radio Stoke to run their story.

Last night, McGarry was trying to get fans to listen to Radio Stoke for more news re' the preferred bidder at 720am via his own twitter account. When asked if it was any different to what was already "out there" he said that more news was coming in via the

"airwaves" all of the time. Blakeman has added to this today, again via Twitter by telling all about the bidders back ground.

TBH its pretty pointless holding a press conferance on tuesday as it will only be confirming what everyone already knows, and even more will know after sky report it on monday night.

Much better to move the press release forward 24 hrs.

Why is it pathetic. They report the news? We moan when they won't do anything mildly journalistic when MOLD were on the rampage, and now they get a story thats newsworthy and it's pathetic to run it? Should all journalists get permission to run stories or wait until official press conferences to announce stories? Bet your other half disagrees with you.

If they've been asked to respect the bidders privacy and have refused that then they could scupper the deal. It is pathetic and my other half agrees with me.

I wouldn't blame the club if they banned Radio Stoke from the press conference. They were never on the protestors side anyway and never wanted to ask tough questions of Bratt and co. At least the Sentinel came good eventually.

You don't need to sign a confidentiality agreement. You need to respect the wishes of what others have asked.

Yesterday Radio Stoke said they were respecting the wishes of the admins who wanted the name kept quiet. Now they've just blown that out of the window in typical useless Radio Joke style.

Why on earth would knowing his name now as opposed to Tuesday scupper the deal? Now that's pathetic! It was posted on a message board already, and details were on companies house website. Since when was it presses job to hold back newsworthy stories that don't really effect people's privacy? The press are not the clubs PR agents. They don't have to seek or get permission to run stories. Seriously get a grip.
