Ray Williams - Mr Negative

Thought I'd start this thread, having read many comments via other threads about the man himself and having had the pleasure (or not so) of listening to his constant negativity towards the Vale during Tuesday nights game (having missed my 1st home league game)

 

If he is what stay away fans listen to on match days it is no wonder they choose to stay away, it's he who continually bangs on and often starts the conversations about how poor the crowd is and always looks at the negative aspects of Vales game.

 

I'm hoping given a ground swell of opinion amongst fellow Vale fans he might sit up and take note to become more balanced in his opinion and shut up banging the drum about our (so called) poor attendance.

To be honest, I'm at all the home games but if I miss an away game there is no way I will listen to him on the radio, I just watch Sky Sports News to see how the lads are doing !! :(

Must admit about the negativity. I was driving to Brum on Tuesday night and managed to listen to the 1st half on radio and all he kept going on about was the poor crowd, no atmosphere etc

Must admit that Ray was all negitive after the match on R S,he really got under me skin with his rant,it was one match and he should be saying we all have a bad game not moaning ...

I only heard the last 20 mins commantary of Tuesday's match but don't recall RW being overly negative, I remember positive comments about Tom Pope and Chris Neale and he was musing about the type of game Tuesdays match was.

 

I enjoy RW's comments about Vale's games and particularly his insight into players Vale have had an interest in over the years.

I do agree that you should as the song goes 'access the positives' or something like that but I'm afraid that he has a chip on his shoulder as he believes perhaps rightly? that he was poorly treated after he introduced Mo Chaudry to the Vale.

That said I do agree with some of the comments that I have heard him make about team formation and poor substitutions after Tuesday's game.

He is there to make comments and some of them won't be positive I'm afraid if he is doing his job properly.I must say that I was disappointed with the gate on Tuesday but I must acknowledge that some fans have differing circumstances and also levels of support.I don't care if Barcelona are playing and want to pick me up in a golden Rolls Royce because I would rather watch the Vale but some people will stay in and watch the Champions League rubbish.

Anyway both Ray & Mick are better than the kiss ar**s that the Stripey Eyes bring on to comment.
