Clayton Donaldson

Absolutely. We can get the 'team full of Alex rejects' jibes from their fans for all I care. Clayton frustrates the hell out of me, and misses more chances than Craig Davies did here, but his goals speak volumes, and he doesn't usually score two-yard tap-in's either, he's scored some belting efforts this season.

Problem is we wouldn't create enough chances for him to miss, how many last week was it, one that bounced off Rico.

I'd say worth a punt as long as he's a worker.

What I can remember of the Vale-Crewe game most people reckoned he was something that sounded a bit like a 'worker'. What about a toss up between him and getting Pope back?

personally i wouldn't want Donaldson either, too lazy for my liking plus i don't think he has the upper body strength to suit Vales style of service to the front men. From what i have seen he likes the ball to feet all the time and as we know Vale arent the greatest at doing so

Lazy? Deary me. Bet you also thought that about Constantine didn't you?

I don't give a **** what he does for 90 minutes if he's scoring almost 30 goals in a season.

Why would anyone pay Ada £4k a week? He could even cement a place in crewe's defence. Same with Mitchell king. What is even more crazier is that Ada will be going to league 1. I wouldn't swap one if our defenders for him and they get paid less that half of his wages.

I totally agree. How can he be off to league 1? It boggles the mind, especially considering he is on £4000 a week.

This issue highlights the importance of getting a manager who can acquire quality players without paying over the odds. If we give lots of money to a rubbish manager then we will end up with a team which is no better than what we had this season, but the wage costs will double.
