I cant see MA starting with Pope tbh.

Why? What have you seen that forms this judgement? The only time he's ever played there was a 5-0 defeat to Rotherham. I must admit that I thought that way at first, but he's so much more effective on the wing - or even up top as a striker. At Lincoln and the Vale, he scored around 10 goals a season without playing consistently, from a wide position. Plus his form at the end of last season in that forward three should be evidence enough.

 

I always pull my hair out when people say that, so I'm glad I'm not the only one to question the 'dodds behind 2 strikers' myth. Like you say, he has only played there once and it was a disaster. He isn't a striker either. The best he has played is in a 4-3-3 formation. I'd happily start him with that shape. Otherwise he is a bench warmer.
