Adams million pound budget was cut by 130k and to cut another 350k would be a non-league budget.V2001 "Blueprint for the Conference".

The losses and budget for a club this size with big gates in this division is down to the V2001 Board who have mortgaged the club to the hilt and have

a ground and stands without sponsors and hardly any marketing and commercial revenue.

Adams performed a miracle given the budget....

Two keepers plus six defenders with two out and out CB's and two out and out FB's plus Collins (LB/CB) and Sutton (RB/CB).

Adams had four central midfielders although Loft could play wide midfield

and two out and out wingers....plus Dodds and Rigg who can play wide attacking midfield and perhaps be considered as an option upfront as a

second striker should one of the two out and out strikers get injured.

The squad was small but perfectly formed and Adams obviously knew that

they would need half a dozen loan players over the season but as we have seen time and again under V2001 the manager budgets and has a contingency fund for emergency loan players when required but end up being lucky if they see the money again that is part of their budget......

we were supposed to have the money for two long term loan players in january...a striker and right winger....but despite the compo as well

we ended up with some cheap mostly free short term loans that even

then the club couldn't afford and sent back.

A matchday 18 for 50 league and cup games over a season needs a squad of around 25 players over a season we have 17 which is alright for a five-a-side league and it will be worse next season....

bang on,this should go to press

Sorry guys according to Rotherma Mad: "A few more games for us and we have to pay another £70k to Crewe. Is it worth it?" so i wasn't far off

Just by him not playing for one of their play off rivals (Port Vale) is a big plus, so it dont matter if he plays for them or not

Dont be soft, he is paid to play for them, needs a job next year.

If they cant afford the rumoured £70k that they have got to pay Crewe if plays another 3 games, what do you think Rotherham are going to do?

Rotherham have disadvantaged one of ther mian contenders for a play off place just by simply recalling him

would it not be worth having jack mcGowan on the bench.

i know he's young but every time i read about the reserves or U18 he's seems to grab quite a few goals. considering apart from the 2 rico's he's the only out an out striker we've got, especially if (god forbid) there are any injuries

Not sure if it's a thriving commercial department or a generous investor/benefactor at Chesterfield, but we had a good chat to two Spireite fans before the game last Saturday. They told us that Lester was on £6,500 a week and that Davies was on 'slightly less,' and were adamant that this was true. If that's the case, it's not surprising they're streets ahead of us and the rest of this league.

Based on those figures say 12 k per week that probably equates to the total sum of most of Vale's first team wages. What's the old saying 'speculate to accumulate'.How embarrassing you are Bratt and co.Little men trying to run a big club.===

So we are back to Mickey's original squad. They didn't do too badly.

Because they played for Micky Adams. It is clear Adams worked miracles with the squad he had. He basically took a team that nearly went into Conference football and took it nearly half way to League 1. The players performed well beyond their limits to play for him and he got them playing to a style and system they enjoyed to play.

I really don't think anyone else could or can get this squad playing as he did. I think a new manager whoever he is will probably want to let go about half the squad and start again.

Don't think Rotheram can afford to play him, isn't it three more games for them then they have to pay 100K of some ridiculous figure to Crewe?

After hes played 5 more games for rotherham they have to pay crewe £25,000.

this was told to me by pope,s father.
