Unfortunately I am one of 2,670,000 people out of work in the UK at the minute. I have been searching high and low for a job for a short while now without success. I thought it would be a good idea for those who are in work and know of any job vacancies to post them on here and give fellow vale fans a head start on getting back into work. SO,

 

Anyone know of anything going right now?

Probably best to say what kind of work you're interested in, in the local area or anywhere in the country, etc, or you could get people suggesting all sorts.

OK. Just thought it worth mentioning in case someone just posts any kind of out there, really specialist job, or if you wanted a job within a specific sectors.

 

So any jobs at all seems a good approach and let people pick what they want from it.

 

If people want an outdoor, nature based job and don't mind travelling (we live in an absolute void when it comes to this kind of work) try these two sites.

Try temping. Its what I'm doing til I can get a permanent job. I've been out of permanent work for over a year. Keep your chin up and you'll be successful.

It's just so hard now to get any sort of work, particularly in this area so I think this thread is a decent idea and i'm going to make it a 'sticky' for a while. Who knows, if just one person manages to find something it'll be worth it.

get yourself on loads of agencies. They call you, a lot of jobs never get advertised. Recruitment is such a scummy industry.

Try searching for Rullion engineering and ask them about Siemens in congleton, there always taking on, it's temp @ first and very good money

try where i work above, there are two jobs available on the notice board at the minute. you will have to travel to winsford industrial estate which will take you around 40 mins from stoke.its a bit of a boring sweat shop but its money.

register with meridian agency..in newcastle.above britannia.as there ARE jobs going at GE kidsgrove..formally converteam. its going to shifts so got fill the shifts,i work there myself and im told we need 30people.Its a factory job,making electric convertors for wind turbines. wiring experience a advantage but loads of people got jobs without experience. worth ago.

If you are willing to re-locate try this website, I found loads of jobs on here, http://www.anyworkanywhere.com I applied for about 4-5 jobs and got them all I went to Scotland, Guernsey, London, Colchester but there is worldwide opportunities too. I am currently working a seasonal contract at Herm Island http://www.herm-island.com its amazing, I am working with many different people from different cultures, Polish, Latvians, Italians, Mancunians, Rochdalites, Its a good laugh. Also an easy way to save ....
