Interesting one for me. Cass is superb going forward from rcb. Forrester didn't do that yesterday, so Cass maybe had less support.

Maybe Forrester is more defensively minded, so perhaps safer?

Hard to know at this early stage.

I thought the Hall, Benning, Conlon triangle worked well.

There's alot of permutations with this evolving squad.

I'm finding it quite exciting!

Same here. I haven't felt this optimistic since the Rudge era. Agree with the Forrester comment. Cass links well with Wozza.

Benning has carried on where he left off. Hall is good going forward but at times he can be caught out defensively.

That said I think our team is improving and there's lots of options.

Harrison was a bonus for me plus Massey's cameo. Holden is getting his confidence back too

It is the depth and options that are pleasing

I agree re Hall.  Hopefully it's nothing more than adjusting to a new level.

Massey delivers! Amoo with an end product.

I, too, like the look of Holden. Seems to have excellent vision, which could make a big difference.

I also thought Garrity was sublime.

On another day Garrity scores. The rebound off Harrison's shot him and went over. His header at the end...just over. He'll start scoring soon. I'm confident once the team gels a bit better, the goals will start to come.

We're trying to play football to get through the opposition though we do have Walkers passing range.

Hall is like Garrity, trying to take his chance of league footie....you can see the effort they give.

All positives from me

Stevens

Massey-Forrester-Smith-Hall-Benning

Ojo-Conlon-Garrity

Holden-Harrison

I’m suggesting going without Proc as I don’t think he was at it yesterday and is struggling with fitness. Good option off the bench though for the last 20 mins.

TBH this is the team I would start, however I think Clarke likes to start Proctor and bring Holden on.

Proctor was knackered yesterday. Maybe he will play Garrity instead of Proctor and play Pett or Walker alongside Ojo and Conlon to accommodate Ben?

Looks like MK havent yet put in any kind of performance so far this season. I think some of their key players are injured (grigg, mcecharan) and new ones havent yet bedded in. Also read that theyve changed formation too this season. All in all a good time to play them but i wouldnt be over confident as you don't go from having a great season to being cack overnight.

I'm not expecting a lot of goals in this game as think both teams are going through the gears relearning how to score through open play (in a new formation or with new players)

Team well 3 games in a week .
Bolton MKDons and Burton .
I'm.sure Burtons going be well attended usually is .
Mk Don's no idea how many taking there it's a superb ground well worth a visit went when lost 3-0 and 1-0 many moons ago didn't go when we won 1-0 with a very lucky performance as they should have scored a hatful but managed miss everything on season when relegated under BR .
Team I'd go with
Stevens
Forrester Walker Hall
Massey Benning
Ojo Garrity
Conlon
Harrison Proctor
Think Walker can add that quality with the initial pass it's very important in modern football by the side of him I'd go with Forrester and Hall but if Smith's in no problem with that .
I'd like see if Massey can combine with Jamie Proctor and I'd prefer it if he starts as it shows intent I don't personally feel Holdens ready yet but theres definitely something about him .
I'd be using Small as well off Harrison up front after a hr odd as don't want burn JP out .
Be nice if a Vale forward netted it's been 270 mins without a goal for any of them .
No reason why we cannot gain a positive result .

I think Clarke will go

                       Stevens

Robinson Forrester Smith Hall Benning

      Charsley                       Walker

                        Garrity

              McDermott Harrison

Will be happy with a point  hopefully Kamwa or a loan forward is signed before but I'd feel confident if this team was put out. Massey and Proctor off the bench would have a great impact, I'll go 0-1 vale.

Can't see him leaving Ojo and Conlon out

Let's hope the usual Port Vale Benevolent Society aren't out in force then.

Would take a scruffy 1-0 win right now!

I’d bring Massey in for cass and Walker in for proctor. Garrity has to play to press these imo. Proctor has struggled last 2 and for me Walker has to start every week.

I hate to say it but Proctor has been struggling for more than 2 games now.
