Match Thread: Milton Keynes v Port Vale

Trains or Motorways to Milton Keynes on a Tuesday evening? First away point for the Vale or first league point for MK.  They finished 3rd in L1 last season currently bottom, but struggling after losing players to the Championship, although defeats by the Tractors and Owls not unexpected. Vale continue to gel as they strengthen, players regain fitness from injuries., and grapple with the big clubs.  Fancy a win myself.

Tough game as I think these are going to be playoff contenders this season, not really fooled by their results at the start. Done alright last few times have been to there so hopefully can keep that going.

Think DC will make some changes to this as some of the players must be close to drained after yesterday in the heat. Certainly would freshen up the wingback spots.

Possibly confidence a bit low and play offs hangover.

We have to remember 2 of the 3 losses are to Ipswich and Wednesday.

A difficult fixture but I'm hopeful we'll get something positive.

3 points from these 2 aways great ,anything else brucie bonus

Every other player played in the same heat yesterday

Yes, but not everyone deals with extreme heat effectively. Out on my bike, I noticeably lose a lot of power when it's hot. My wife doesn't!

What position does your wife play. I bet she could do a job for us. 😁

Massey for Cass. I don't think RWB suits Cass so Forrester to start on the right of the back 3.Keep the rest the same IMO.

Holden for Proc after 70 mins depending on score. Lots of options...Walker for Conlon? Pett to come on? Hopefully a clean sheet and we'll nick one.

Interesting one for me. Cass is superb going forward from rcb. Forrester didn't do that yesterday, so Cass maybe had less support.

Maybe Forrester is more defensively minded, so perhaps safer?

Hard to know at this early stage.

I thought the Hall, Benning, Conlon triangle worked well.

There's alot of permutations with this evolving squad.

I'm finding it quite exciting!
