I reckon anywhere between 6 and 12 games. Chances are it will be at the higher end of the scale because the FA will want to send a message that’s in keeping with their respect programme.

Also it’s not his first offence after his Instagram comments last season.

He deserves a fruitless season in a relegation-threatened Swindon tema before being released and being signed by some non-league cloggers. You'd have to be either very confident or mental to sign him.

Unfortunately, as a proven goalscorer, if he’s not forgiven by Swindon, which is unlikely, he’d have plenty of suitors willing to take a chance on him.

Protein drink? It was probably his spit. He does it every 10 seconds.

To confront the referee? What purpose does that serve?

I'm glad he's done something like this. He's 25 but acts worse than a 5 year old.

My guess is he'll get at least a 3 month ban. He can practice his gurning whilst diving into Little Jonny's paddling pool.

The officials room was unlocked and the door ajar. They were not actually there. He thought it was half time and went in to confront them. When they were not there he threw a protein drink against the wall and it smashed. Before going into the officials room he had a tantrum in the kit room throwing round a number of articles. Most 5 year olds are well behaved and a better analogy is perhaps an offender arrested by the police. He would be off to the station were it not a football match where the police defer to the regulations enforced by the FA except in the severest cases.

So he hasn't actually pushed or punched an official. But he has damaged property of an official and he has behaved in an aggressive way that has been witnessed within the space in the stadium that is regulated for matches. For example, entering the room of the officials or approaching them during a match at say half time is a breach of the rules as well.

The rules don't specify the sanctions to be applied and there must be separate guidance. Hence complete guess work but I would wish to see 5 games plus.

Perhaps I should have said a naughty unsupervised 5 year old then. I hope he gets the maximum ban possible. This player thinks he has his own set of rules.

If Swindon were looking to cash in on him before the end of the window that’s probably depressed his value in the market. A timely reminder why anyone signing him is a gamble.

yeh the things you see when you havent got an elephant gun!😁

3 match ban.

What a joke.

When grass roots refs up and down the country get dog’s abuse, the FA had a chance to send a strong message and they bottled it.

Wonder if the moral crusaders at the Swindon Advertiser will pick up on this and start campaigning for stiffer punishments?

So he has done <ovf censored> all then really

We did hate him after the 1st leg but after the 2nd we can just laugh at him every time he crosses our path

Why are we wasting time on this no mark?

Sorry his sanction came out in the news and caused a discussion. But we obviously ain't bringing him back, though some other clubs at our level have been allegedly interested in him. The risk of a lengthy ban probably keeps him at Swindon through this window at least.
