Where is everyone going for a pre match pint?

Ship Inn decent in the city centre.  And I know Spoons are ten a penny but George's meeting house set in an old church has a massive outdoor area if the weather is good.

We went both of those in May. Also there is a rugby themed pub called The Stand off which wasn't bad after the game.

Add the Turks Head to that list.  2 minutes walk from the Ship Inn.  Nice little sun trap terrace and micro brewery inside.  Not the cheapest though.

Just stuck a tenner on Vale to win; also a fiver on Stjoke to lose (well; it is Saturday, afterall 🤣)

Also just had a cheeky accer on Norwich, Plymouth and Barnsley all to win, too.

Train ticket booked - picking up a bacon sandwich on the way to the train station and then read the paper/list to the Ale & Vale pod.

Might see some of you cheeky, cheeky whites in the pubs in town in the run up to the game.  👍

Slightly off topic, but how great is it to see Oldham back on the up. A great old football club that I've always admired.

Their new owners seem to have breathed new life into the place. Apparently they've sold out their 1,300 allocation at Torquay this weekend. Carol and Kevin could so easily have been starting from the same position.

Every time i log on i keep seeing the same picture and headline, its been the same picture and headline all week instead of the picture and headline of our latest signing.Anyway i've got a feeling Scott Brown won't start against us but if he does we know his weak points,he's slow off his line and hates a shot from distance bouncing at him and doesn't get down quick enough,so pepper the goal, shoot on sight and fingers crossed he does start🤞

To be fair, “pepper the goal, shoot on sight and fingers crossed” are tactics we should employ for every game, not just those when Scott Brown is in goal. 👍🏻

I play golf with an Oldham fan, really feel for them. Luton and Notts County I enjoyed their demise. Oldham though, once a great little club who mixed it with the big boys as a Championship side (well old Division Two).

Agreed! But its fingers crossed he starts and not a tactic, given we know he's got a mistake in him.UTV

Founder members of the Premier League, not just Championship.
