If we can help it I would keep Charsley as back up wherever possible. I like the lad and he's good to bring on if you're closing down a game, but ability wise he's behind the other midfielders.

I think we will go 343 with a very high aggressive press. My team assuming lack of fitness for a few players but I wouldn’t be surprised if McDermott plays LW and Benning slots in LM.

The steelwork is indeed from The Old Rec, and, for me at least, should somehow be preserved in some way, shape or form.

My guess is he will come on with about 25 to go. Only way I see him starting is if it’s Proctor up top and then Holden playing a deeper role behind him but I think DC will be cautious with him.

I've started another thread but if people don't read it,then I'll put it on here too.

There are traffic lights either side of Smallthorne roundabout so expect delays or try to get to Park Estate etc to park,another way if possible?

Not a great start to the season from a personal point of view. It's bad enough coming down from Edinburgh on a normal Saturday (leave home 8am, get back 10 pm, with a VERY tight connection at Crewe). However, I woke up this morning to discover that my Transpennine train back from Carlisle to Edinburgh (the last one till Sunday lunchtime) has been cancelled. At least it seems I'll get a full refund from Trainline.

The rest of you will have to do the cheering for me!
